Psalm 104:34 “My meditation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.”
As today is Ash Wednesday, I have been thinking about what exactly I want to do for Lent this year. In years past, I have given up something like some sort of food in order that when I wanted that food I might be reminded to pray….Or I have tried to both give something up and add something to my life that would be good for me to do – help me – as a reminder of God.
So, for this year, in light of what the Lord has been teaching me lately – my plan for Lent is this: To spend time DAILY meditating on what it is to FULLY focus on the Lord, to FULLY trust and believe the Lord, and what it is to FULLY love the Lord above.
I hope to spend time in prayer discussing this with the Lord each and every day from now until Lent. And since Lent starts today and goes for the next 40 days (not including Sunday’s) until Easter, I’m hoping the Lord and I can have some really good conversations and I can at least start understanding by Easter what it is to love, believe, trust, and focus FULLY on Him….
If you have any advice or things to share, I’d love to hear it!
Hopefully I will be able to share some of the things that God reveals to me here!
Have a very Happy Lenten Season!
